When Paul Napier Ltd. opened their Wolverhampton office We were able to provide a choice of either  our z3 or i3 solution for their CITRIX requirements. Both these options would be an improvement over using a simple VPN solution over normal broadband speeds.  The Database would not pose an issue, but once large documents are being produced it would feel the strain.

PNL already had a spare server on-site in London and the low bandwidth requirements of i3 meant that they wouldn't have to upgrade their ADSL connection so this was the ideal product to meet their needs.

With only a minimal outlay for CITRIX licences a mixed configuration allowed all within office users to remain on Client Server and all remote and travelling users to benefit from the fast access not only to NOVUS but also to all the company files, emails and resources.

With one day of installation in Wolverhampton, with their new equipment and one in London and it was all connected up.

In addition to enabling the Wolverhampton branch to have access it also enables their all staff to have access when at home or, in fact, anywhere with an internet connection. Now a user can log on from anywhere and see their desktop as they left it, and use printing or other resources of the local pc wherever they may be. Printing Client statements whilst in their office is now a simple task.
