Oyster Property Insurance Services went live on Novus Z3, Morning Data’s fully hosted Insurance Broking system on April 14^th  2009. Oyster moved from the ‘client server’ based NOVUS CS system in order to reduce their need for servers and infrastructure and to reduce running costs as well as to allow remote access to their systems. The system is accessed over the internet using the Citrix XenApp thin client deployment software and can be accessed from their office, home or client locations as required.

The system provides major cost savings as Oyster do not need to pay for or maintain any infrastructure of their own with the system being hosted at Dedipower’s world class datacenter facility in Reading, Berkshire. Available 24/7 365 days a year, the system can be accessed from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. Using a suitably equipped mobile phone, pda, netbook or notebook NOVUS Z3 can be used to provide real time information ‘on the move’ increasing staff efficiency and also enabling access to all data and documents when with clients or underwriters.

NOVUS Z3 is a class leading product which provides a full front and back office insurance system which is accessible from any internet browser. It can be deployed in a matter of days after Morning Data have received their structured setup questionnaire from the client. It is also paid for on a monthly basis with only a small one-off configuration charge ‘up-front’ making it especially attractive to new start-ups who need to keep capital and infrastructure costs to a minimum. With NOVUS Z3’s ability to be used from anywhere with an internet connection it can even remove the need for a fully blown central office.

Morning Data can also provide NOVUS Z3+ Office, which has all the standard facilities of NOVUS Z3 plus the Microsoft Office suite of programs which allows all office functions such as word processing, spreadshhets and email to be distributed from our central hosting facility which totally removes the need for file servers and complex backup and security infrastructure in the client office. The Z3 suite of services include HELIX Z3 for underwriters and HELIXRe Z3 for reinsurers meaning that the benefits of ‘Cloud Computing’ are available to every type of insurance service company at a low cost and with maximum flexibility.
