Broker Portal Launch

Morning Data and Surely Services Ltd are delighted to announce a new partnership to provide a web portal front-end. This will provide B2B Product deployment "Click & Buy", Policy Management front end to Morning Data's NOVUS back office system for Brokers, Coverholders and MGAs and form part of the CHALIS suite of programs.

Morning Data is a leading supplier of world-class software and service solutions for the global insurance industry, and has been providing Insurance Software Systems to its clients since 1985. Its NOVUS product is an integrated end-to-end insurance administration platform, which can be tailored to meet the specific needs of Brokers, MGAs or Coverholders.

Surely is an innovative platform provider to the insurance industry, focused on helping insures and brokers transact online with their customers (whether directly to end-customers, or via an intermediary channel). Surely’s cutting-edge web platform includes a Broker Portal, with the capability to interface into back-end Policy Administration Systems such as NOVUS. The Broker Portal is multi-lingual and multi-currency, operates on all devices (web, tablet and mobile), and enables various user roles to use the system, including customers, brokers, underwriters, customer services / admin staff and system administrators.

Larry Shapiro, the CEO and Co-founder of Surely, noted: “We are very excited to be working with Morning Data on this collaboration. By partnering, our two companies are combining the strengths of both our platforms, to better service our customers. NOVUS is an impressive back-end system, and our portal technology extends its capabilities further by enabling intermediaries and end-customers to obtain quotes and bind policies online, with the information flowing directly into NOVUS without the need for rekeying, and eliminating manual paper-based processes”.

Kirstin Duffield, Managing Director of Morning Data, added: “The market is continually looking at innovative ways to extend its distribution channels and customer reach, for binder backed insurance solutions.  Surely was the only web portal provider that understood the complexities of London Market binders and so it was an easy choice to partner with them.  Our partnership will further enhance our solution offering to all Morning Data clients, being traditional Brokers, as well as Coverholders and MGAs and many of which have already expressed a strong interest to web enable their binder products as part of their digitisation strategies.  We are looking forward to a productive partnership with Surely, that will greatly benefit our clients as they seek to achieve competitive advantage. The Portal will form a major component of our CHALIS module offering Users integration with the Market through A&S, ECF, PPL and other initiatives such as CSRP etc and with the client channels through B2B solutions across multiple product lines.”

Integration between the 2 systems is underway, and initial contracts have been signed with clients who will be taking advantage of this collaboration. Further announcements will be made about this in early 2017.
