The Team

Morning Data is a high-tech team in whom professionalism and customer service are combined with vision and integrity. The faces you see below are the voices you hear on the phone and the names you will see assigned to your queries on the support website. As clients you will know the individual members of staff and enjoy the confidence in consistency of staff identity and personal contact with the developers. There are no "smoke and mirrors", we are all here for you in the UK.

Management

Kirstin Duffield, Managing Director - BSc(hons), DipM, Cert CII (London Market)

After graduating with a BSc Computer Science degree and working in the IT marketing and training field for six years Kirstin applied her skills in Morning Data to bring enhanced client relations. Kirstin took the helm of Morning Data in 2006 and has lead the company to its new development centre location and the introduction of the total support and systems package for clients who want a one stop shop.

Kirstin has spearheaded the ethos of the company which is the holistic approach to Client Service and product support combined with professionalism and strong long term cooperative relationships within the Morning Data community. Kirstin has recently gained her Cert CII (London Market) and goes on to study for her diploma as well as her Cert (CA) in compliance.

Phil Collins, Development Director - Cert CII (London Market & Claims)

Phil brings experience and a natural affinity with many state-of-the-art programming languages and has responsibility for managing and overseeing the KTP project with Bournemouth University, as well as product integration into third party systems such as the INVU document management system.

Phil has gained his Cert Cii (London Market and Claims) and goes on to start his Diploma. He is studying alongside team developer Igor Koveshnikov for the Microsoft Certified Professional Developer accreditation.

Mike Skinner, Technical Director - BSc(hons), Cert CII(London Market), Cert CA

Mike joined Morning Data as an experienced developer with a view to incorporating his knowledge and skills into the development team. Having worked on large-scale application development projects Mike has taken up the role of development of NOVUS with pushing forward the development of the .Net version of NOVUS alongside the rest of the development team.

Mike passed his Foundation Insurance test with an impressive 97%.

Development

The development team includes Dr Marek Cropper, Phil Collins and Mike Skinner from the board.

Phil Collins, Development Director - Cert CII (London Market & Claims)

Phil brings experience and a natural affinity with many state-of-the-art programming languages and has responsibility for managing and overseeing the KTP project with Bournemouth University, as well as product integration into third party systems such as the INVU document management system.

Dr Marek Cropper, Snr BA Developer, Board Chairman

Dr Marek Cropper has been designing, writing and maintaining software for the Direct & Reinsurance Broker for nearly 35 years and has extensive experience of the Technical Accounting functions, the Insurance market and the IT issues involved. He is responsible for the ground-breaking design of the Morning Data software as well as the unique funding controls.

Igor Koveshnikov, Technical Developer - BSc, Cert CII(London Market), Cert CA

Igor has joined Morning Data as part of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership project with Bournemouth University. With experience in .NET development he brings a vast amount of knowledge in recent Microsoft technologies and is working on our conversion project. Igor has recently passed his CII Foundation in Insurance exam and is also studying alongside Phil for the Microsoft Certified Professional Developer accreditation.

Peter Gelder, Software Developer - BSc, FIT

Upon completing his degree in E-Commerce & Internet Systems Peter has worked in development and in the IT support industry. He has nearly 2 years experience in IT support and brings a number of skills to the team. He will be responsible for the everyday running of our systems and will also assist with our clients IT related issues.

Chris Hynes, Software Developer - BSc(hons)

Chris joined Morning Data shortly after completing his degree in Web Design and Development. He brings experience in a number of open source programming languages. He will be working in the .net team alongside Igor and Peter. His responsibilities include working on eNOVUS and social networking profiles.


Support and QA

John Palmer, Support Manager - Cert CII (London Market), CII Takaful

John Palmer has first hand experience of our products from working within the industry, with one of our clients for over 16 years. He joined us in 2002 and has brought a wealth of hardware, networking and communications skills into the company together with a solid background in the insurance market. John now heads up our partnership with CITRIX to deliver our products over the web and mobile networks as well as managing the support team within Morning Data.

John has recently passed the CII Foundation in Insurance and the Lloyd's and London Market Introductory Test.

Michelle Welch, Documentation & Support - Cert CII (London Market & Claims)

Michelle is a ISEB Certified Tester and has a BEng in Mechanical Engineering. She joined Morning Data in May having demonstrated a proactive career path in IT support. With experience working for the British Armed Forces as well as a volunteer in her home country Bosnia as well as here in the UK for the CAB. Michelle has presented and trained on a small one to one as well as larger scale basis and offers a high level of technical based support for both our clients and the team here. Michelle has taken the role of Technical Support Technician at Morning Data to continue to grow our excellent record in customer service and support.

Sue Loveless, Accounts Manager - FIT

Sue has brought order to the office. With responsibilities for company Accounting and Administration, Marketing literature, and the managing the varied logistics of travel for our team. All those nice things one needs to run an efficient office including our own HR and operational compliance. Whatever the question Sue has the answer. Every company should have a Sue and fortunately we do!

Sue has recently passed the CII Foundation in Insurance exam.



The Board

Donn Cantwell, Non-Executive Director

Donn Cantwell has an outstanding track record in his field, with more than 30 years in Non-Marine Reinsurance broking and is currently heading up the Non-Marine Reinsurance activities at Iris Insurance Brokers in Fenchurch Avenue.

Janet Cropper, Director

Janet was awarded Kent Business Woman of the Year during her career in Marketing, PR and Language training. She has spent over 25 years providing excellent services to a number of Blue Chip companies. Her role is that of Marketing, PR and client relations ensuring that communication channels are free and efficiently maintained. Janet has responsibility for contracts and edits the Tower Times composing the back page which is never remotely connected with computing.
